Fee Schedule
Effective date: 22 August 2026, version 0.1 (draft). This schedule forms part of the Trademeup Terms of Service (operator: TTA Technologies, {{COMPANY_ADDRESS}}, RCS {{RCS_NUMBER}}, VAT {{VAT_NUMBER}}).
1. Free Services
- Registration and maintenance of the user account
- Creating listings (no listing fee)
- Buying via the Platform (no buyer service fee, other than the optional Buyer Protection)
- Dispute system and support
2. Sales Commission (paid by the seller)
| Seller type | Commission |
|---|---|
| Private Seller | 3% of the item value |
| Pro Seller (verified businesses) | 3% of the item value |
- The basis of calculation is the item value (purchase price of the items excluding shipping costs).
- The commission is only due on a successful sale and is withheld or set off at payout.
- If an order is fully cancelled or fully refunded, no commission is due; for partial cancellations, pro rata.
3. Buyer Protection Fee (paid by the buyer, optional)
| Seller type of the listing | Fee |
|---|---|
| Private Seller | +4% of the item value |
| Pro Seller | +2% of the item value |
- Buyer Protection is optional and is selected and paid for by the buyer at checkout.
- Scope and deadlines: see the Buyer Protection Terms (escrow.md). Buyer Protection is not an escrow account but a delayed payout via the payment service provider plus refund rules.
- If the order is fully refunded, the fee is refunded; for partial refunds, pro rata.
4. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are set by the seller (methods, zones, prices) and displayed to the buyer at checkout. They are due to the seller and are not a Trademeup fee.
5. VAT on the Commission, Invoices
- An invoice including Luxembourg VAT is issued for the sales commission (and any other Trademeup charges to sellers).
- Pro Sellers established in another EU member state with a valid VAT identification number receive the invoice without Luxembourg VAT with the note "Reverse charge" (liability for VAT shifts to the recipient).
- Invoices are generated automatically (monthly summary invoice plus a document per sale) and are available in the seller dashboard.
- The buyer's Buyer Protection fee is invoiced with Luxembourg VAT where required by law. (Review point: VAT treatment of the Buyer Protection fee for consumers in other EU states, OSS obligations.)
6. Calculation Examples
Example 1: card for EUR 100 from a Private Seller, buyer selects Buyer Protection, shipping EUR 5.
- Buyer pays: 100 + 5 + 7 (7% Buyer Protection) = EUR 112
- Seller receives: 100 + 5 - 3 (3% commission, plus VAT on the commission per invoice) = EUR 102 before taxes
Example 2: card for EUR 100 from a Pro Seller, buyer selects Buyer Protection, shipping EUR 5.
- Buyer pays: 100 + 5 + 5 (5% Buyer Protection) = EUR 110
- Seller receives: 100 + 5 - 3 (3% commission; invoice with Luxembourg VAT or reverse charge) = EUR 102 before taxes
Example 3: as Example 1, but without Buyer Protection.
- Buyer pays: EUR 105; the payout to the seller is immediate.
7. Gift Cards and Balance
- No fees are charged for buying, sending or redeeming gift cards.
- Balance does not bear interest; balance cannot be paid out in money (exceptions: statutory obligations and refunds to the original payment method), see Section 13 of the Terms.
8. Miscellaneous
- There is currently no minimum fee per order; only the stated percentages apply. We reserve the right to introduce a minimum fee, which would be announced under the rules for amendments to the Terms.
- Amendments to this schedule are made in accordance with Section 20 of the Terms; for Pro Sellers, the notice periods of Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 (P2B) apply in addition.
- Unless stated otherwise, all percentages are calculated before VAT on the respective platform service.
